The MOR-Team (Kopie 1)

Your specialist for vintage and classic car tyres since 1984: The Münchner Oldtimer Reifen GmbH team introduce themselves.

Valentin Schaal, The managing partner founded the Münchner Oldtimer Reifen GmbH in 1983. The purchasing and production of tyres and accessories for vintage and classic vehicles has become his lifetime task. His tip for all vintage lovers: "Buy - and drive - only vehicles that are maintained technically perfect so that you can drive confidently from A to B - otherwise the joy of this hobby can be lost quite quickly."

Raffaele Angelillo, Sale of and advice on traditional engineering with classical design is what fascinates him most. He is still saving up for his own dream car, an Alfa Romeo Guilietta Spider. His tip for enjoyable driving without break-downs: "Don't save on the tubes when buying new tyres!"

Raffaele Bitetti, Coordination and control, a veteran at the Münchner Oldtimer Reifen GmbH with a fiery Italian temperament, who has worked in the company for 15 years. Competent both at his desk and in mounting complicated wheel-/tyre combinations. He deals with our Italian contacts and loves business trips in his "Cinquecento", in which he also visits the Mille Miglia every year.

Attila Boz, Wheel restoration and vehicle modification. The Maestro for all wheel issues. Whether body alterations, chassis engineering or varnishing, his motto is: "Every problem has a solution." If he's not in the workshop then he's driving around the Bavarian Oberland on sunny weekends in his Alfa Spider. His loves the big events such as the 2000 km through Germany and the international Schnauferl rallies.

Martin Brummer, Sale and advice. A BMW 507 rally in Tuskany  2 years ago lead him to his current job as a trainee at MOR. His tip for the vintage car owner: "Everything you love needs care!"

Alexander Hagn, Purchasing and organisation: As an exceptionally talented car mechanic and trained tradesman he encourages you not to despair at the  maintenance of your vintage car, even if it drives you crazy - it's worth it! His best event tip: The annual Techno Classica in Essen - where MOR is also represented with a stand.

Herbert Laubinger, Shipping and stock. He makes sure that the orders are well packed and sent away on time. To allow for this it is necessary to do overtime - to relax he likes to jet along the foothills of the Alps on his motorbike. Favourite events: Veterans motorbike races.

Werner Meckl, Vulcanisation- and tyre engineer. He has always worked with tyres but his experience with an Aston Martin 16/80 Special turned his attention to the "vintage scene" and now he is working at the Münchner Oldtimer Reifen GmbH. His tip: "Check the tyre pressure before every drive!"

Renate Ploner, Accounts. Her annual favourite event is the ADAC Bavaria Historic with its meeting point at the Schloss Maxlrain near Bad Aibling. The perfect combination of Bavarian lifestyle, professional organisation and sporting challenge. More information... www.bavaria-historic.de

Axel Sperlich, Master vulcanisation- and tyre mechanic. Perfect for all tyre issues - an "old hand" in the field. His motto: Tyres are like shoes - and old shoes are no good for walking. His favourite event? Vintage rallies  on the company premises!

Siegmar Weissflog, Wire wheel specialist. The most important thing for him is that wheels and tyres are always in perfect condition because lives could depend on this. He explains his vintage fascination with a wink of his eye: "Anyone can drive a modern car!"

Daniel Wolf, Trainee as vulcaniser and tyre engineer. Though he hasn't been on the job long he too knows the most important condition for carefree drives with vintage vehicles: "Quality has its price" - and that's also why the 190 SL is his favourite car.

Martin Wollpert, Specialises in marketing, advice and sales. The Porsche 911 is his number 1 car and the Kesselberg race near Kochel his favourite event. He knows just what the ambitious vintage car fans appreciate.
